The Itinerary
Day one:
Welcome to Mauritius. Arrive at the island's airport, transfer to your hotel, put your feet up, or explore the beaches in proximity but if you are feeling adventurous you could wander through the coastal town of Grand Baie. On the first evening you’ll meet up with your fellow swimmers and guides for the week. Our team will brief everyone on the routes, weather conditions, requirements for the following days, and answer any burning questions.
Days two to six:
Swimming days follow a soon-to-be familar pattern. After breakfast and a final kit check, we will meet you at the jetty in front of the hotel and head off to the open waters. You just have to show up and be ready to swim! The routes chosen each day will vary based on the weather, conditions and needs of the group. From the boat you will notice Mauritius isn’t just a postcard-perfect island — it’s a paradise for open water swimmers. Get ready to glide through turquoise lagoons, alongside coral reefs and over dramatic drop-offs, as sunlight dances beneath you and the rhythm of the ocean becomes your pulse. Mauritius has so many great swim routes, it impossible to list them all but examples are: Expected time on the ocean: 5 hours daily with 2 swims of 1.5 hours in the morning. Breakfast and dinner included.
Note that rest days are absolutely allowed at any time if you wish – after all it's your holiday. You will stay at a wonderful 4* hotel in the heart of Troue Biche, with all the comforts you would expected from a modern, international property, such as a swimming pool and spa (additional costs apply).
Day seven:
Depart hotel on your airport transfer which is arranged for you.

Travel & LogisticsArrival:
Sunday in Mauritius and transfer from airport to the hotel. Meet & greet will be in the hotel lobby bar at 6pm. The main airport on Mauritius is Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport (MRU). Flights are daily and can be booked out of several international airports with airlines and Air Mauritius & Emirates. Transfers to/from Airport to the hotel in Mauritius are included. We simply need to know when you are arriving, and we'll organise the rest. |
